Muled wine, beef pie and pumpkin pie with vanilla ice-cream.
Beef pie recipe found here – we reduced the amount of barley and added some carrots instead. For the pastry we replaced the suet (which we didn’t have) by butter. It requires a lot of time (3-4 hours!), but it’s super-easy to make and delicious.

Pumpkin pie filling recipe found on the label of a Libby’s pumpkin can (and here too). De-li-ci-ous! Unfortunately, the shortcrust pastry recipe I followed (from Peyton and Byrne book) didn’t deliver equally good results (oops, you can see that from the picture). Need to find a better one next time.
