We’ve been living in England for so many years (almost 10 years in my case!) and we’ve hardly seen anything outside London. A shame. So last weekend we decided to make a trip to the west country. We went to Wedmore, a little village in Somerset, more precisely. And it was beautiful. We took looong walks out in the countryside, ate like kings and slept like babies in a very comfortable little hotel (this one).

It is good venturing outside the big city. And the English countryside is truly pretty. The only problem of traveling in the British isles is that the weather is always very  unpredictable. But, well, I suppose that’s part of the experience.

Next places I’d like to visit: Cornwall and the Lake District. Hopefully in a not too distant future.
